If you are able to drive, it's nice to take your time and enjoy all the places you go in your own pace and explore the area more in-depth. And ChungGwangDoAeWon (www.청광도예원.kr) is one of those places you must stop by for a meal. It was one of the best Korean meals I had and that is saying a lot since I've lived here for more than 10 years and had amazing Korean food!! This place is famous for using green tea in all of their dishes. The pictures might look like just regular Korean food, but it tasted immaculate and different to me and I loved it. I was so impressed with every single dish here, but of course this is just my own opinion and my taste.😜 We ordered the set lunch menu for 15,000won per person. We ordered 3 sets for our family and shared and it was more than enough food. You cannot get a meal like this for 15,000won per person in Seoul. Even if you think the food is just okay, it's definitely one of the best meals for the value. I would love to visit again and try other dishes.





After a wonderful meal, I recommend The World of Green Leaves Cafe (초록잎이펼치는세상) for tea and dessert. They have all kinds of tasty green tea drinks and desserts. Although they are well known for their green tea ice-cream, green tea latte, and bingsoo, they are popular for their view over looking the green tea field. It's also a pension, so if you would like a place to stay overnight, you might want to check this place out. It's not a fancy place, but you will have a million dollar view in the morning! Unfortunately, the cafe was closed when we went and couldn't get green tea ice-cream that we promised our kids, but we enjoyed walking around the field and the view!










If you are interested in learning more about green tea and culture instead of just wondering on your won, I recommend visiting BoHyang Organic Green Tea Farm. It's run by a 5th generation tea master and his wife. They offer various educational and hands-on activities you can try. Some activities they offer are picking green tea leaves, learning about Korean tea drinking etiquette and tea tasting, and making your own Korean traditional tea! Overall, it was an educational and fun experience! 








And the most famous Boseong Green Tea Plantation is 대한다원보성녹차밭 which you might have seen in Instagram. They are open everyday from 9:00-6:00 and costs 4,000won per person. It has rows and rows of green tea on a hill and the surrounding is beautiful as well. I would definitely pick this place as one of the must-see places in Korea. But like I said, if you want to see lush green color leaves, the best time to go is now!
